Customer Reviews
Customer Reviews: 1 Average Customer Rating: Aug 28, 2008 Federico from Rome Great book to start working with iReport If you don't know iReport and JasperReports this book is designed for you. The author of iReport, Giulio Toffoli, wrote this interesting book where you are introduced in the various features of this tool. The first part is dedicated to JasperReports, the understanding of how a report is represented, the different parts which can identify within it and anything connected.
Following many feature are analysed that has iReport, in order to define our report as we need. The main features analysed in the various chapters are as follows:
* Parameters, fields and variables * Subreport * Datasource and queries * Internationalization * Scriptlet * Template * Charts
Especially curated is the part relating to Datasource, also because there are many different ways to get a Datasource and to extract and manipulate the data. An excellent guide for those not familiar with these tools and wants to use them having to hand a good book.
