Despite the wide availability and use of SQL*Loader, few Oracle DBAs and developers
know how powerful it really is. This book describes all of SQL*Loader's functions,
including how to construct the necessary control files, load different types
of data, and get the best performance. It covers the newest SQL*Loader features--the
loading of large object (LOB) columns and the new object types (nested tables,
varying arrays, and object tables).

Customer Reviews: 1 Average Customer Rating: Sep 8, 2007 Scot from Jacksonville I know it is old, but I got this book way back not long after it was published. It was possibly my first Oracle book. We had to load very large volumes of data on a regular basis, and found this book to be a tremendous resource for us at the time. I don't know if more recent books cover the same information or not, because I haven't needed to worry about it; this one went into such excellent detail on pretty much every aspect of sql loader.
