User Friendly tells the story of Columbia Internet, "the friendliest,
hardest-working, and most neurotic little Internet Service Provider
in the world." Take three techs, two salespeople, a designer, two
executives, a couple of administrative staff, mix in a mischievous
Artificial Intelligence and a "dust puppy" born from the innards of a
mega server, put them all together in a crowded little office, and you
have the makings of one of the most off-beat, original, and funny
comic strips to come along in years.
User Friendly reads like Dilbert for the open-source community.
Already in syndication in The National Post, one of Canada's
leading national newspapers, and with a massive online following,
it provides outsiders a lighthearted look at the world of the hard-
core geek, and allows those who make their living dwelling in this
world a chance to laugh at themselves.

Customer Reviews: 2 Average Customer Rating: Nov 4, 1999 Alesh Mustar (alesh@jpdesign.net) from Slovenia, Europe Excellent (comic) book Excellent (comic) book. Nice introduction, from Eric and Illiad and a huge amount of laughs thru the book. As the back page recommends (I belive Alan Cox does), read 1 or 2 pages per day, don't chew the book thru in one day. I recommend this book to anyone who has been in the computer area for some time (like system administration, programming, etc.) and all new. A great gift also!
Oct 20, 1999 Ken R from Lexington, KY Funniest computer/geek/nerd comic strip ever User Friendly is quite simply the best comic strip that deal with computers, ever. It has an open source slant and great respect for everyone who has ever answered a question over the phone or written a line of code. There's many a chuckle to be found, and serveral times you'll have to pick yourself up off the floor when you're through laughing.
