About the Authors

Jeremy Buch is a Software Development Lead in the Real-Time Collaboration Group at Microsoft, where he has worked for the last seven years. Jeremy has been involved in the development of the Microsoft Exchange Conferencing Server, Microsoft Exchange Instant Messaging since 1998, and all versions of Microsoft Office Live Communications Server since the team was created in 2000.

Jochen Kunert is a Program Manager on the Office Communications Server team in the Unified Communications Group at Microsoft Headquarters in Redmond, WA, USA. As one of the founders of a Switzerland-based company named media-streams.com, he joined Microsoft as a result of the acquisition of this company by Microsoft in October 2005.

Rui Maximo is a lead program manager working on Office Communicator Web Access Server. He's been working in the Unified Communications Group since Live Communications Server 2003. Since joining this group, he's worked on Active Directory® schema extensions, migration from Exchange 2000 IM, defining supported topologies, designing Microsoft Management Console, WMI, LCSSync, Microsoft Operations Manager Pack, and worked on VoIP.
