About the Authors
Felipe Cabrera is an architect with the Microsoft Web Services
Team. He is the coauthor of several WS-* specifications including WS-Coordination,
WS-AtomicTransactions, WS-BusinessActivity, WS-Eventing, WS-Enumeration, and
WS-Transfer. Felipe holds a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)
and a coinventor of more than 30 issued patents.
Chris Kurt is a standards diplomat on the Microsoft Distributed
Systems Strategy Team and is an active player in the development and standardization
of the Web Services Architecture. Chris participates in Web services education
and evangelism throughout the industry. He is one of the founders of the Web
Services-Interoperability Organization, and is on the Board of Directors of
OASIS-Open.org.
