About the Authors

Peter Kuo, PhD., is president of DreamLAN Network Consulting, a Toronto-based firm specializing in connectivity and network management. He is Canada's first enterprise CNE and the first Novell Certified Internet Professional (NCIP). He is also a Certified Network Instructor (CNI) and Certified Network Expert (CNX). Peter is one of the world's leading experts on NetWare and NDS and brings to this book writing experience from such titles as NetWare Unleashed (Sams Publishing), NetWare 4.1 Survival Guide (Sams Publishing), and NetWare Web Development (Sams.net Publishing). John Pence is president of MagicNet Network Consulting and is also a network engineer/analyst at a major regional newspaper. He has over a decade of experience networking computers and has worked with numerous operating systems. A CNE, an MCSE, and a former Novell Support Connection Sysop, his specialty is using protocol analyzers to troubleshoot the difficult ones by looking at what is happening on the wire.
