About the Authors
Richard Waymire, a program manager with the
SQL Server development team at Microsoft, is
also a Microsoft Certified Trainer, Solutions
Developer, and Systems Engineer + Internet.
He's the immediate past president of the Pacific
NorthWest SQL Server User's Group. Richard
was a SQL Server trainer before joining
Microsoft. Although he has also focused on
training and consulting on Windows NT and
other BackOffice and development technologies,
he's still a database administrator at heart.
Rick Sawtell is a Microsoft Certified Solutions
Developer and Microsoft Certified Trainer. He
owns his own consulting firm based in the
southwestern United States and currently
consults, trains, and writes computer books on
several Microsoft products. He has more than 14
years of experience in the consulting and
programming arena, with emphasis on database
front-end and back-end development.
