Rand Morimoto
Rand Morimoto has been in the computer industry for over 30 years and has authored dozens of bestselling books on Microsoft Windows networking, Exchange messaging, Security, and mobile computing. Rand is the president of Convergent Computing, an IT consulting firm in the San Francisco Bay Area that has been one of the key early adopter program partners with Microsoft implementing beta versions of products from Microsoft and other vendors in early adopter production environments years before the formal product releases. Besides speaking at more than 50 conferences and conventions around the world in the past year on tips, tricks, and best practices on planning, migrating, and implementing security solutions and technologies, Rand volunteers his time as a Regent for Saint Mary’s College and the Chabot Space and Science Center.

Okay, I have to admit that before I got this book, I used Microsoft Project like a spreadsheet where I’d add in tasks using the INS and DEL key off the keyboard and I moved around using the arrow keys on the keyboard. So I got this book and for the first time really understood all that I could do with Project, and in particular how the things that Project 2007 can do today that you couldn’t do before.
